For someone is working towards a business management major, marketing is an extremely important component of their study. Although that business management major may never have anything to do with marketing once they go out into the real world and find a job, they still need to understand the basic concepts that marketing entail. This is because a business management major will likely be in control of a number of departments; marketing is one such department. For a business management major to better understand the needs of the marketing department, it would help to have some knowledge so that the manager can make an informed decision about how to allocate funds. In the same way, business management is also useful for those who are marketing majors. Because the marketing department acts as the ââ¬Å"faceâ⬠of a company, their efforts will be seen by a large number of people. This is unlike inside a workplace, where only a few people will know what really goes on. Because of this fact, it is important that the marketing efforts of a company are handled with extreme care and caution. The allocation of resources in marketing efforts is very important because they have an effect on the rest of the company. If a company gets negative press due to a controversial marketing campaign, then this will have an effect on the rest of the company.
